meet erika - founder of alaska outdoor girl

Hi adventure friends, my name is Erika, and I am the voice behind Alaska Outdoor Girl. I'm excited that you're here! this section is a little about me, and the goals behind alaska outdoor girl.

 

I grew up in the small community of Sterling, which is smack dab in the middle of the Kenai Peninsula, aka "Alaskas Playground." Located in Southcentral Alaska, the Kenai Peninsula boasts incredible sights and opportunities for adventure, including world class fishing on the glacier-fed Kenai river, and views of the Alaska Range, Chugach range, and gorgeous Kenai Mountains. I could go on and on about the incredible views and activities here, and I'm privileged to say this was my stomping grounds. I currently reside in Soldotna, AK near my family, where I squeeze in a 9-5 job between my outdoor adventures, more on that in a blog-post!

my goal is to inspire our outdoor community in alaska. the land here is special, packed full of adventure to be had and secrets to be told, and the more I see of alaska, the hotter the adventure-fire burns.
